ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT I – NEW WELL will be received by the Southwest Lauderdale Water Association at their office located at 2215
Pauldin Road, Meridian, MS 39307 until 10:00 a.m. local time on April 29, 2020 at which time the Bids received will be opened and read aloud. The Project consists of drilling a new 600 gpm water well approximately 1200 ft depth and applicable appurtenances.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the
Bidding Documents are being made available via original paper copy through Plan House Printing. Persons interested in obtaining plans and specifications are required to register for an account at www.engserviceplans.com where they may order Bid Documents upon receipt of a Non-Refundable Payment in the amount of $100.00 for each set.
Copies of the Plans, Specifications, and other Bidding Documents are on file and open for public inspection at the office of the Owner – 2215 Pauldin Road, Meridian, MS , the office of the Engineer, Engineering Service, at 115 Aerosmith Drive, Richland, Mississippi, or online at www.engserviceplans.com.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders
Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to
“Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A – Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials.
