SEALED BIDS for the construction of BIA Contract No. A07AV00099 Choctaw Road Improvements will be received by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians at the Public Works office, 258 Industrial Road, Choctaw, Mississippi 39350, Telephone: 601-650-9422 in the PEARL RIVER COMMUNITY, Choctaw, Mississippi until _10 am, Local Time, December 3, 2021, at which time and place, the Bids will be opened and read aloud.

If the amount of a Bid is equal to or greater than $50,000, Bidder shall hold a current Certificate of Responsibility for Highway Street and Bridge Construction as issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors.

The major items of work consist of: approximately 30 acres of light clearing & grubbing, 102,000 cubic yards of excess excavation, 25,000 cubic yards of excess excavation, 128 linear feet of 60” RCP (class III), 192 linear feet of 54” RCP (class III), 8,200 cubic yards of granular material, 23,000 square yards of soil-cement-water mixing, 6,000 tons of hot mix asphalt, concrete paved ditch, and 1.3 miles of pavement striping.

Copies of the Plans, Specifications, and other Bidding Documents are on file and open for public inspection at the Choctaw Public Works Department, at 100 Utility Circle, Choctaw, Mississippi 39350 and at the office of the Engineer, Engineering Service, 300 Choctaw Town Center, Suite 202, Choctaw, Mississippi 39350, Telephone: 601-650-9422. Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier’s check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid made payable to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians reserves the right to reject any and all Bids; to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the work; to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder; to disregard any Bid which it deems to be non-conforming, irresponsible, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional; to hold all Bids for examination for a period of up to sixty (60) days after their opening; and to award a contract to the Bidder whose Bid, after evaluation pursuant to all applicable requirements of the Bidding Documents, is considered to be the one which is in the best interest of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
